Football Queensland has granted approval for Redlands United to enter FQ Academy Girls Teams into the Under 11 and Under 13 2024 competition. Consequently, we are pleased to announce that Emilie Rochelet has been appointed as the Club’s Football Queensland Academy Girls Co-ordinator.
Emilie has been at Redlands United for 4 years in various roles and has played for Olympique Lyonnais in France and at Redlands United in the NPLW. She is also the Club’s 9-12’s and Reds Co-ordinator and co-coach of the Under 12 Academy Team with Peter Merefield. Her coaching resume from Australia and overseas includes the management and co-ordination of Junior Development Programs. Additionally, Emilie holds an Associate degree of Languages, a Bachelor of Human Movements and a Master of Exercise Science. She also possesses a Coaching B-License.
Emilie had this to say about her appointment, “The Club has been working on its Girl/women program for a few seasons now and I am excited to be part of this next step with our FQA Girls program. I would love to hear from any girls and coaches who would be interested in joining us.”
The Club’s Technical Director Graham Harvey was delighted with Emilie’s appointment, “I am excited to have Emily on board as our 1st FQ Academy Girls Co-ordinator. It’s an important position within the Academy setup and we are happy that these kids will benefit from her experience and expertise. It is a quite important having a B-License Coordinator with her experience in this role.
