U6-U7 FRIDAY COMPETITION
The U6-U7 Friday Competition is all about fun, building skills, and fostering a love for the game. This program provides a structured but relaxed introduction to football, ideal for young players. It is recommended that participants complete at least one term of our Miniroos Kick Off (Little Devils) program before joining.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
- Game Format: 4v4 games with 2×20 minute halves.
- Focus: Aimed at fun, skill development, and introducing players to structured team play.
TRAINING
- Team Formation: Teams of up to 6 players are formed by the club. Where possible, friends and classmates are grouped together.
- Training Schedule: Training is held on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
UNIFORMS
- Provided Items: Playing shirts, game day shorts, and socks are provided by the club for members to keep.
GAMES
- Fixture Schedule: Games are played on Friday evenings from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
- Dates: Matches are scheduled each Friday during Term 2 and Term 3 starting from Friday 2nd May until Friday 19th September.
- Location: All games are played at Redlands United FC grounds as an internal competition. No travel is required.
COACHES AND GAME DAY FACILITATORS
- Parent Involvement: Parent volunteers are required to coach and assist with organising the team on game days.
- Support and Resources:
- Coaches receive guidance and support from the Community Football Co-ordinator.
- Session plans are available for parents to follow if desired.
- Parents are encouraged to get involved and help create a positive experience for the children.
FAIRPLAY VOUCHERS
Redlands United FC proudly supports the use of FairPlay Vouchers, a Queensland Government initiative designed to help children and young people who may otherwise be unable to afford joining a sport or recreation club. Eligible participants can apply online for a voucher valued up to $150, which can be redeemed at registered activity providers like Redlands United.

2025 PLAYER FEES
2025 Squadi Fee Breakdown:
- $385.50 to the club (includes uniform items)
- $64.50 to Football Queensland for sport governance and player insurance (through Gow Gates).
Additional Football Australia Registration:
In 2025, Football Australia has introduced a further registration through PlayFootball of $15 per player. All players must be registered in Squadi and in PlayFootball to be eligible to play.
