Community Football Coordinator Announcement

Redlands United FC would like to introduce our Community Football Coordinator for season 2024, Will Smith.

Will originally from Tasmania, has impressive playing and coaching credentials from Spain, where as well as playing at a high level, was also assistant Coach of Under 17 and Under 21 sides and Goalkeeping Coach for Under 16 to Under 21’s at the Club.

Will is a part of the Red Devils 1st Team Squad for 2024 and is looking forward to this role as Community Football Co-ordinator and commented, “I’m looking forward to bringing my love and enjoyment of the game to players and parents throughout our community teams.   My aim is for players to be having fun and learning new skills in the process so they are excited for both trainings and games every week.”

The Club’s Technical Director Graham Harvey was delighted with Smith’s appointment, “We are delighted to appoint Will as Community Football Coordinator.  Will brings a wealth of experience in football which I am sure he will pass onto the younger players at our club.  As a club we view this role as essential to our community so all players receive the best coaching available and our coaches receive the support they need to feel confident to run sessions and match days.  MiniRoos and community based teams are just being finalised now ahead of their competition start dates across March and April in line with FQ’s football calendar”.
