U7 to u18 red team program
Redlands United Red Team Program underpins the FQ Academy program and allows the club to offer a wider range of development opportunities to our players. This bridges the gap between juniors in the community space and the FQ Academy. The purpose of the program is to create a pathway into the FQ Academy for our aspiring juniors and is overseen by the football clubs Red Team Co-Ordinator.
*This level is ideally suited for players who have played for a few years and who have average to above average football skills. Trials are held for selection into the Red Team program where players are assessed on merit according to their skills and abilities.
*As these teams are formed based upon ability, please be mindful that if you trial and are selected to play in the Red Team Program requests for players to be grouped in teams with friends CAN NOT be considered.
Training
2 x 1hr per week, nights dependant on coach availability.
Uniform
Game day shorts and socks are provided by the club to keep. Playing shirts are provided for match days and remain the property of the club.
Fixtures:
Games are played on a home and away basis any day from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, depending on Coach agreements. Depending on the size of the competition, there may be the need to play some games midweek to fit the whole season in.
Season generally runs from March until September, with finals being held after the September school holidays for those competitions that are eligible.
Coaches:
Where possible experienced Coaches will be appointed to these teams with analysis and feedback provided to members regularly.
2024 Cost:
The cost of the program is $850 for the season, which includes uniform items as mentioned above.
Fee Breakdown is $785.50 (U7 to U12) plus $64.50 to Football Australia or $769.50 (U13 to U18) to the Club and $80.50 to Football Australia as the governing body of the sport. This component also includes insurance through Gow Gates.
